30 SMALL STEPS · 10 TO 15 MINUTES A DAY
The Researcher's Shortcut Kit
Get confident with Claude, one small build a day. By the end you have a set of ready-made helpers for your academic week, and you know how to build your own.
Starting on November 16th, 2026
You don't need more AI hype.
You need a few shortcuts that fit your week.
An academic week is made of small tasks: a student email, a reviewer comment, a reading summary, a set of slides, a LinkedIn post you keep postponing. None of them is hard. Together they eat the time you wanted for research.
Claude can take over a surprising number of them, but only once it knows how you work. Most people never get that far. They type a question, get a mediocre answer and move on.
In the Kit you build one small thing a day. Each build takes 10 to 15 minutes, comes with a prompt you can paste, and leaves you with a helper you keep using. Whether Claude is new to you or you have already experimented, you will feel more at home with it after five weeks.
I show you what Claude can do for academic work
Hi, I'm Christina. I have worked in academia for more than 25 years. I am a researcher with a focu on marketing and I am a passionate teacher at the University of Vienna, the Bern University of Applied Sciences and the University of Lucerne.
I also run my own coaching business, where I help researchers write, strengthen their academic profile and grow personally.
In recent months I have gone deep into how Claude fits into academic work, and I test every workflow on my own real days before it reaches you.
Nobody can keep up with all the new releases, and most of them don't matter for your week. You get from me the prompts, workflows and shortcuts that survived that test: up to date, useful, and easy to set up.
How it works
Ten to fifteen minutes a day, five weeks
1 Open the day's email
One task, clear steps, and a tested prompt to paste into Claude in your browser. If you already know your way around, this email is usually all you need.
3 Make it yours
You run the task with your own material, or with the example I provide, and adapt it to your field. Skipped a day? Pick it up later.
2 Watch the video (optional)
A short video shows me doing the task live in Claude. Handy if you prefer to watch first.
4 Keep what earns its place
The last academic task is a clear-out: which helpers, tools and routines stay, and which go.
Five weeks, Monday to Saturday: 25 tasks for your academic work, and on each Saturday one task for your life outside it.
Sunday is your AI-free day.
What you will have built
A peek at the builds
Here are a few of the 30 task. They are examples: the real aim is that you can build your own helpers for all the tasks I haven't thought of, long after day 30.
A skill that writes in your voice
Emails, abstracts and posts come back sounding like you, not like a chatbot.
A helper for emails
Extension requests, supervision questions, reference letters. No names and no personal data go in, and Claude turns your own notes into a draft that you copy, adjust and send yourself.
Slides from your own templates
Turn lecture notes or an old deck into clean slides in the template you already use, ready to polish rather than rebuild.
A "Reviewer 2" to spar with
Test your abstract or argument against a skeptical reviewer before a real one does. Critical for a reason, never just for sport.
A quiz from your own slides
Multiple-choice questions with explanations, built from the lecture material you already have.
From voice memo to LinkedIn post
Three minutes of talking become a post you would actually publish, without a blank page.
One Saturday task for real life
Plan a weekend trip, a weekly meal plan or a family calendar. Same skills, different part of your life.
At the end, you will have more than a set of solutions
✓ You understand how Claude works.
✓ You can build your own skills and shortcuts for any task that keeps coming back.
✓ You know how to adapt and refine prompts and skills for your own topic.
✓ You know what you do NOT need.
✓ Claude knows your work, so you go through fewer rounds of corrections.
Your data stays with youEverything runs in your browser, and you never link your computer to Claude. I show you how to work without names and personal data, and what to keep out of any AI tool altogether (manuscripts under review, confidential data, student work). Claude prepares drafts, and you read, edit, copy and send them yourself. Please also check your institution's rules. Why Claude
Because it does more than answer questions
With the right settings, Claude writes very good texts. It can also follow instructions you save once as a skill and build small tools for you, all within your browser. Most people never find that out.
In the Kit you get ready-made solutions to copy. I also explain how they work, so you can adapt them to your discipline, your teaching and your habits, and keep using the tool long after the five weeks.
You need your own Claude account. Claude Pro is not necessary but helpful.
